Background

The Stockton flock is based at Stockton Court, at Stockton-on-Teme in Worcestershire. It was established in 1973 and now comprises of 120 flock ewes breeding some of the most successful Suffolks in the world.

Record price

We hold the current record price for a ram lamb sold at a Society Sale, achieved in 1998 when we sold Stockton Almighty for £78,750 to T & J Bailey, Eire.

Flock champions

Stockton Suffolks have held the National Flock Championship title and the Bristol Gold Cup on four occasions from 1991 to 2004. The flock has also held the reserve champion flock title on four occasions.

In 2004 competition the flock also took the awards for:

Royal Shows 1992 – 2000 (Royal Highland, Royal and Royal Welsh)

55 champions and reserves (no shows attended 2001 -3 due to UK Foot and Mouth outbreak).

Pedigree sires

More than 75% of Stockton rams going to other pedigree flocks – thus demonstrating the massive influence Stockton genetics have on the Suffolk breed.
